David Lacasse

Attorney

David’s practice focuses on civil litigation, real estate disputes, municipal representation, and commercial law. Prior to joining Stimpson & Associates P.C., David was an associate with Wilson Young, PLC, in Detroit, Michigan where he represented clients in complex insurance coverage litigation. From 2009 until 2022, David was a partner with Schaedler & Lacasse, PC, in Adrian, Michigan, where he specialized in municipal law, alternative dispute resolution, estate planning, and family law.

David graduated Magna Cum Laude from Michigan State University College of Law, where he was a Charles H. King Scholar. While in law school, he also worked as a judicial intern in the Research Division of the Michigan Court of Appeals, in which he researched cases coming before the Court and drafted per curiam opinions for use by the Court. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Ambassador University in Pasadena, California, where he received the Leon Ettinger Award for Music.

Prior to becoming an attorney, David and his wife, Ann, decided to change careers. David had been working in the insurance industry for 15 years. They went back to school with three young children at the same time, with David obtaining his law degree, and Ann earning her teaching degree in Special Education and a Masters of Arts in Education Leadership. David and Ann believed they could serve their communities more effectively as an attorney and Special Education Teacher and later as an Elementary School Principal.

David is involved in the community as a member of the Board of the Greater Lenawee Chamber of Commerce, a board member at Gracepoint Evangelical Free Church, and as a member of Chiaroscuro Community Men’s Chorus and Tecumseh Community Choir.
